This is one part of a study program that delves into the Sekha-pāṭipada Sutta (MN53) – Buddha's Discourse on the Trainee’s Mode of Progress, which has been broken into different episodes.
This study program began in October 2020 with a specific meditation group and is still ongoing.
This episode looks at how we can develop the accomplishment of Devoted to Wakefulness (jāgariyaṃ anuyutto), as one of the 15 accomplishments in conduct (caraṇasampanno)
We examine:
the explanations provided by Venerable Ānanda in the Sekha-pāṭipada Sutta
other useful suttas to give us additional help to understand the teaching
where the bar is set for the 'adept' and how to develop this quality as trainees towards the goal
practical tips for progress, taking into account responsibilities and challenges of lay life

This is a Guided Meditation on the Vatthupama Sutta (MN7) - the Buddha's Discourse on the Simile of the Cloth. It was delivered on 8 February 2020 as an hour-long session.
We "clean" the mind of the 16 mental stains and make a strong determination not to cultivate or breed these defilements. We also have an intention to correct our view if we are holding onto any wrong views that are blocking our Path.

This is a Dhamma Talk on the Pamādavihārī Sutta (SN35.97) - The Buddha's Discourse on Dwelling Negligently. It was delivered on 4 July 2020 to a meditation group with practitioners residing across the globe.
During this Dhamma talk we:
- looked at the definitions of pamāda and appamāda
- provided some context around why vigilance is important in the Buddha's teachings
- reviewed the sutta and why we need to practice vigilance
- examined the sense faculties, organs and sense objects, and
- meditated on each sense faculty to see know what leads to negligence, and what leads to vigilance.
